TCL introduces its thinnest 85-inch 8K Mini LED TV prototype
As thin as a mirror
Since 2018, thanks to continuous investments in R&D, TCL has focused on developing Mini LED technology and has become a true pioneer and a leader in the Mini LED TV industry. That same year, at CES, TCL unveiled the world’s first Mini LED Backlight TV prototype. One year later, the world’s first Mini LED TV as manufactured and sold by TCL. Then, in 2021, the brand introduced its revolutionary OD Zero technology and the world’s first OD Zero Mini LED 8K TV – an extremely thin profile TV with stunning audio-visual performance.
Mini LED is the future of LCD display technology, with high contrast, high brightness, ultra-thin profile and many more local dimming zones. Consequently, TCL will continue to develop new TV line-ups powered by pioneering Mini LED technology for the best display quality and viewing experience.
This year at CES, in 2022, TCL is back in-person with TCL booth and is very proud to reveal to visitors the thinnest 8K Mini LED TV prototype, as well as the latest iPQ Engine™ and many more.
This 85-inch 8K Mini LED TV prototype is the thinnest Mini LED TV at just 3.9mm, with high contrast from over 2,000 local dimming zones and super wide colour gamut. The booth visitors will particularly appreciate the fineness of the slab. Just as thin as a mirror, this TV is not only a real technological prowess but also an extremely aesthetic device with very attractive design.
At the TCL CES 2022 booth there are also first-hand interactive opportunities to explore the technology behind TCL innovations as visitors can discover the power of TCL’s latest iPQ Engine™ that features deep learning technology, optimizing images and clarity to deliver next-level image quality.
